What is a Realtor and Why use one?
Definition According to NAR (National Association of Realtors): REALTOR® is a federally registered collective membership mark which identifies a real estate professional who is member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. Realtors agree to represent their clients under an umbrella of agreed to ethical business practices. Not all Real Estate Agents are Realtors, and thats ok! Some just want to test the waters and some just want to invest and have ownership of their own transactions(thats fine too! it's their money!) But for the majority a Realtor is whom 92% of buyers and sellers trust in representing the sale or purchase of their next home. But what should you look for?

1.)Recent Sales: We live in a "what have you done for me lately" Society, and for good reason. Many Agents have plenty of years of experience, however, todays market is unlike any other. Technology updates and evolves faster than ever before in order to improve the buyers and sellers experience. The best agents know how and where to find those buyers. Also seek reviews, recent reviews are a sneak peek of what's to come!
2.)Professionalism and Ethics: If the agent is willing to be easily swayed off of their marketing plan or is willing to cut their commission just because you asked, how are they going to negotiate for you? Does the agent want to get you top dollar? or just another listing?
When Hiring a licensed professional to be an extension of yourself (Tax Accountant, Realtor, Attorney, Etc.) it is always of the utmost importance that expectations are set and met. Understanding what you need and how to deliver is where we excel and an Interview is where we begin.
